NY Governor Eliot Spitzer announced his resignation about a hour ago thanks to him getting caught up in a prostitution ring. Since ”allegedly” sexing it up with high priced prostitutes is not becoming of a NY Governor, Lt. Governor David Paterson is taking over as Governor of New York on March 17th and is the first black man (he’s also of Dominican heritage) to do so. Paterson also made history by becoming the first legally blind person to address the Democratic National Convention and the first visually impaired person to become Governor of any state. YAY. Blacks are slowly but surely becoming more prominant.
